Merry Christmas.....wait a second.... what month is it again?

Well, I couldn’t agree more with Rachel’s Recent post. I thought it was October. I was prepared for warm sunny days and cool nights, time to prep the garden for winter, time for my beautiful mums to shine before the frost murders them, and time to enjoy the “Gradual” decline in temperatures and the “Gradual” changing of the leaves. Instead of fall, I think we’ll end up having Fell. I planned a nice Fall camping trip for Mine and B’s Anniversary. I imagined us soaking up the rays of an autumn sun while fishing by the lake or hiking up the trails with our pups. I imagined sitting by a roaring campfire making smores as the nighttime chill settled upon us.
What I got was this:

This is what we woke up to Saturday morning, and it got progressively worse as we scrambled to pack everything up and head for home. I am not opposed to snow. Those of you who know me, know I usually can’t get enough of the stuff…. You know during winter when it’s supposed to happen! We tried to be tough,

to stick it out, we thought to ourselves “ it’s just a little snow, we can handle that” (the dogs were shaking at this point and pleading with their sad little doggy eyes “please take us home to our gi-normous doggy bed where we can nap all day in comfort, I know we look like tough outdoor dogs but we’re really a bunch of wusses!”
And then this happened,

and continued to happen….. Very Wet, Very heavy and Very fast it came. So, we bailed, and headed to the comfort of our home to delight in hot apple cider and Captain Morgan, and our dogs did this:

(I’m starting to see a pattern with these two)!
Hope you are Enjoying Fall….I mean Winter…. I mean Fall??? Wherever you are!
